A Piece of Reno History
A Legacy Born on the Litch Ranch: The Fox Restaurant & Brewery is nestled in the heart of Reno's historic Litch Ranch, established in 1883 by Andrew Litch. The property's iconic Shingle Style house, built in the 1880s, has witnessed generations of the Litch family, including Andrew's wife Mary, who tragically passed away in 1893. Their daughter Minnie's marriage to Isaac Jewell in 1897 brought new life to the ranch, which later became a hub for Reno's development, with Andrew subdividing the land and envisioning a sanitarium.
After changing hands, the house served as a gathering place for various clubs, restaurants, and bars, including the beloved Silver Peak Brewery. Today, The Fox Restaurant & Brewery honors this rich history, serving up craft beer and pub fare in a warm, welcoming atmosphere that echoes the hospitality of the Litch family's original homestead.
